Environment
Goldin has a strong commitment to the environment. Referencing UNSDG 6, 7, 11 and 12, we have introduced eco-friendly practices in the operations and management of our businesses, pursuing our vision of having minimal impact on the environment.

Sustainable development /
Recognising the importance of sustainable development, we put great emphasis on incorporating sustainable design in various areas of our property projects:
- Goldin Financial Global Centre in Hong Kong is constructed with glass curtain wall, precisely angled to allow natural light to penetrate the windows. Other green architectural highlights include low-E, double-pane glass windows, carbon monoxide detectors, rotary heat exchangers, photovoltaic panels, as well as motion sensors and daylight sensors. To save water resources, the building implemented rainwater recycling, use of cooling tower bleed off water for flushing, leakage management for water-consuming equipment, installation of dual flush sensor in toilets and use of water conservation devices.
- In our flagship project Goldin Metropolitan in Tianjin, each commercial building in the Central Business District employs modern curtain walls and engineering systems to reduce energy consumption and optimise the amount of sunlight inside interior. The project’s landmark building Goldin Finance 117 features sky gardens on the 32nd and 63rd floors which offer patrons a welcoming taste of greenery and fresh air.
Goldin Financial Global Centre in Hong Kong has been awarded the platinum level of certification by Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED), New Buildings Final Platinum certification by Hong Kong-based environmental assessment scheme BEAM Plus, Best Innovative Green Building Silver Award by MIPIM Asia, as well as Indoor Air Quality Certificate Excellent Class (Public Areas) by Environmental Protection Department of Hong Kong, while the Twin Towers in the CBD of Goldin Metropolitan in Tianjin have been pre-certified with a LEED Gold Award.

Environmental awareness /
To raise the environmental awareness of our staff, we regularly partner with different environmental organisations and participate in their campaigns such as Friends of the Earth’s Used Clothes Recycling, WWF’s Earth Hour and the Community Chest Green Day.
Green initiatives /
We implement a range of measures at the workplace to reduce energy consumption and waste, and to promote a greener working environment. Since 2013, we have adopted the Energy Conservation and Carbon Reduction Guidelines at Office which cover energy conservation, paper saving and recycling.
